Introduction to Kerio MailServer

Kerio Technologies is very excited to participate in the first SF Tech Sessions event! Below is the history of our company, how we entered the groupware space, and details about our groupware server, Kerio MailServer.

Kerio’s first product, WinRoute Pro, was created 1997 to improve Internet security. The product was a success and Kerio incorporated in 2001. WinRoute Firewall included a simple mail server. After growing requests from our customers to add features and offer the solution separately, Kerio MailServer was born. Kerio specifically saw the need for a collaboration mail server solution for its small business users.

Kerio MailServer attempts to simplify messaging for small business by offering an easily-deployable alternative to Microsoft Exchange and an attractive option for the Mac and Linux platforms. Groupware features are available on all platforms we support and include shared folders, contacts and calendars. Our Microsoft Exchange migration tool helps to elegantly transfer data with minimal network interruption.

Kerio Technologies distributes its products globally using the Internet and a network of more than 200 resellers who help provide support to thousands of customers in 70 countries.

Kerio’s corporate headquarters are located in Santa Clara, California, with offices in the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic.

We look forward to sharing more information with you in-person tomorrow evening.
